Welding

The Welding Technology Program is designed to prepare students to perform routine steel working tasks under the supervision of an experienced welder/fabricator. Welding students receive instruction in equipment set up and operation of steel processing equipment such as shears, punches, steel cutting equipment, and welding equipment, and shop safety.  Welding students will learn to weld with the listed welding processes, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW.

Upon completion of the welding program a student can expect to further enhance his/her chances of a superior job in the Welding Industry either by choosing to enroll in welding training at a technical college, a specialized welding training facility, students may also have the opportunity to participate in work-based-learning time during their senior year in high school. Whatever decision the student makes, the rewards are high. Welders are in great demand and the financial rewards are very strong.
